The chess entichement is a great mystery to the eyes of the philistine. Myself, it took me a long time to recognize the precellence of the King of the games, so much its mine is off-putting, a priori! This divine artifact makes me climb every day the steps of a staircase without steps and without ramps. To give up is impossible for me, the chess set is a blue Dahlia which does not fade.
From then on, I started looking for ersatz games that couldn't match the King. I thought that maybe I would find my happiness in the chess variants games.

Paco Sako : Chess for peace
In "Paco Sako" (respectively; "peace" and "chess" in esperanto), the pieces do not capture, but form unions. These unions dance (move) in pairs on the chessboard. The objective is to unite one of our pieces to the opponent's king. The game is not closed by a checkmate, but by a final union (called "Paco").

The aims of these variants are all the same: to revalorize the imagination, the creativity and the ability of the players. Indeed, the chess game becomes a science in which it is only question of knowledge and technique. Capablanca had foreseen it, too many wood pushers play like parrots and God knows that parrots are excellent chess players.
Thus, the Charleston Gazette, February 12, 1928, quotes Capablanca:
"In chess today, everything is known to the great players, there are no new moves, no new ideas to consider. If the game wants to grow, it will have to be modified."
Theoretical advances in openings, megadatabases, the tyranny and omnipotence of the machine have proven Capablanca's intuitions right. At the highest level, new moves are only found after about twenty theoretical moves, these moves are played everywhere. The game of chess has become the battle of knowledge, preparation and memorization now count more than the player's ability and skills.
The clock, the pressure of time always faster during tournaments do not help to revive the chess game. Something new was needed, to put the players back in front of themselves, far from the rustle of the machines and the beating of the clocks.
